WINERY INFORMATION

A little over an hour drive from northwest of Orange is the Boomey, the origin of Quilty and Gransden Wines and a splendid country escape. Spread over 508 hectares, the Cumulus Vineyard was founded in 1995 by two wine enthusiasts, Russ Quilty and Marty Gransden. The winery is formed with a single line purpose to get as many people drinking the great wines from the Orange wine region in NSW as possible. Following the vision, the duo’s passion and 30 years of craftsmanship combined together, resulted in excellent winemaking and diligent efforts to safeguard the land and its soil. They have planted Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, which sits 600 meters above sea level to provide the finest range of handcrafted wines from selected cool-climate sites.

TASTING NOTES

This impressively balanced Chardonnay exudes the appealing bright golden and green hues. When poured in a glass, it emanates the aromas of peaches, cream and citrus. Cool-climate aromatics associated with the variety complete the array of fragrances, and smoothly shifts to the elegant and fresh palate. With lightly textured flavours of peaches and vanilla, the delicate drink becomes tempting with every sip. Pair this elegant Chardonnay with or Seafood or Chicken.
