Located near Mudgee, Robert Stein Vineyard is counted among the best Australian wineries. The family’s winemaking roots can be traced back to 1838 when pioneer Johann Stein arrived from Germany to Australia, with the very first Rhine Riesling cuttings in tow. Since then, the family has grown and honed itself to craft excellent quality wines featuring rich fruit characters, aromas and flavours.

TASTING NOTES:

Robert Stein Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 shows a brick red colour, exhibiting fresh aromas of black cherry and olives from its bouquet. Finely integrated French oak infuses flavours of cassis and spicy berry fruit into the full-bodied yet delicate palate. A low alcohol wine, it is suitable for consumption upon release or can be cellared for a period of 6 to 8 years. Possible food matches with this delicious red wine include grilled steak, Asian BBQ lamb ribs, meatballs and port wine braised beef short ribs.
