A century later, Robert Stein purchased 75 acres of land to plant Shiraz grapevines, jump-starting the modern Stein winemaking culture.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"Normal1\"\u003e\u003cb\u003eTASTING NOTES\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"Normal1\"\u003eIn 2011, Mudgee experienced marvellous climatic conditions, which allowed the fruit to mature properly and exhibit rich characters and flavours. The estate grown Shiraz fruit was handpicked from a special block of grapes, and co-fermented along with 4% Viognier grapes. The resulting bright red hued wine blend features a medium-bodied palate structure full of juicy flavours of blackberry, plum, fruitcake, mocha and spices intertwined with smooth and ripe tannins to provide an elegant mouthfeel and a persistent finish.
