These slower ripening conditions helped intensify colour and preserve natural acidity, while still allowing the grapes to reach full flavour development. The result was Shiraz fruit with bright aromatics, strong varietal character, and a naturally balanced structure. This vintage is well-regarded for producing reds with depth, vibrancy, and cellaring potential.

Winemaking

Grapes were harvested at optimal ripeness and vinified using traditional fermentation techniques in temperature-controlled conditions. Gentle pump-overs allowed flavour and colour extraction without overpowering tannins. Post-fermentation, the wine was matured with oak influence, adding texture and aromatic layering without overwhelming the fruit. The integration of oak was carefully managed to enhance length and structure while maintaining the purity of the Shiraz profile.
