With over 150 years of winemaking experience, Tahbilk Wines offers a wide variety of award-winning and flavoursome wines. Originally established in 1860, the Purbrick family has been managing the company since 1925. Day to day operations of the company is carried out under the supervision of CEO Alister Purbrick. This Shiraz wine was first released in 1979 and has since then emerged as one of the most popular wines around the globe.

TASTING NOTES

This gorgeous 1860 Vines Shiraz showcases a bright crimson hue. A swirl of the glass offers scintillating aromas of blackberry, allspice and earth. These fragrances make way for a good palate brimming with intense flavours of red and black cherries coupled with hints of dried herbs. Fine tannins and fresh grape acidity integrate with these beautiful characters ending the wine in a lengthy and seamless finish. With the potential to be cellared for 20 years or more, this mouth-watering Shiraz can also be relished upon release. It is an excellent match to foods like hamburgers, lamb cutlets and toffee nut cake.
