WINERY INFORMATION:

The Taltarni Wines owned by John Goelet is located in the beautiful Pyrenees wine region of Australia. Enchanted by the lush green hills and sub-valleys, early settlers often called this region ‘the natural garden of Victoria’. Characterised by cold nights and warm days, the region is considered ideal for winemaking.

TASTING NOTES:

This Sauvignon Blanc was picked by the winemaker in the cool of the night and has spent some time on skin before being pressed. The wine was then fermented in oak which gave it a crisp straw colour with fine green tones. An intense and vibrant bouquet emanates aromas of white peach with a hint of complex herbal spice and oak. The front palate is finely-balanced and luscious, followed by the grapefruit acid. It further reveals lovely flavours of passion fruit, honeydew and melon. An impeccably-structured drink, it ends with a lingering and succulent clean finale. You may pair it with cheeses (particularly goat cheese), oysters or pesto.
