Brachetto is an Italian black-skinned wine grape variety, that is also unofficially known as Birbet in some parts of the country. Widely grown in Italy, this red wine grape variety is commonly used for producing sparkling wines. In parts of Italy and other countries like Australia and America, Brachetto is also produced as dry table wine. Typically, a Brachetto wine is light-bodied (Containing around 5% ABV). It is a highly aromatic varietal exuding fragrances of wild strawberries, black and red raspberries, and rose petals. Best consumed when young, it tastes lovely with fresh fruits. A red that has long been associated with love, it’s a perfect drink to be enjoyed with friends, family or by yourself after a tiring day at the office.
