After working for 25 years for some of the most respected wine labels of Australia, accomplished winemaker Rob Dolan decided to launch his own label in 2010, titled Rob Dolan Wines. These wines are crafted at the Hardys Yarra Burn winery located in South Warrandyte in Melbourne. Rob purchased the winery in 2011 and released his first wine in 2012.
The Savagnin grapes used to craft White Label Bon Blanc were handpicked, whole bunch pressed to tank, and racked to oak barrels. The resulting wine displays a pale straw colour with bright green hues along the edges. This fruit driven and full bodied Bon Blanc wine exhibits fresh aromas and juicy flavours of mandarin zest, limes, cumquats and cinnamon. It provides an excellent structure and length to the crisp and spicy palate, ending in a persistent and zesty climax. With a cellaring potential of about 10 years, this enticing white wine varietal tastes marvellous with barbequed fish, smoked ham and onion flan.
