The foundation for Cumulus was laid in the early 1980s, when some wine experts recognized the potential of the lush soils and cool climate of the Orange region in New South Wales. The company was renamed Cumulus Estate Wines in 2004, inspired by the local cloud formations in the area. Senior Winemaker Debbie Lauritz’s philosophy is to allow the fruit to do the talking.
The name for the ‘Rolling’ range is inspired by the rolling hills of Central Ranges near Orange. The fruit for Rolling Moscato – 100% Muscat Gordo Blanco, was sourced from the sub-600m elevation of the company’s vineyard. In a glass, the wine displays a soft pink colour. The fruity bouquet exudes lifted aromas of strawberries, rosewater and Turkish delight. These berry fruits are replicated on the palate, and the sweetness is balanced with zingy acidity. The finish is refreshing and persistent. This wine has been specially crafted for you to be had while young and fresh. Team it up with blue cheese, fresh fruits or desserts.
