Pretty Good

Delicate colour. Aromas of lifted raspberry, redcurrant and cranberry fruit float across underlying earth and spice notes. The palate is fine and delicate but still well defined and structured. More cranberry and redcurrant characters are on show here too. There is some gentle oak influence adding tannin and complexity.

WINERY INFORMATION

Vineyard

100% Sagrantino from Chalmers Vineyard in Merbein.

Winemaking

The fruit was hand-harvested, sorted and fully de-stemmed.  There was an initial chilling of the must before fermentation was allowed to commence under its own steam with no yeast additions.  No further temperature control was initiated.  Minimal handling was employed with limited pumping of the juice and no punching down of the cap.

TASTING NOTES
