Silver Fern Wines offer an exquisite collection of fruit forward and flavoursome wines using premium grapes sourced from the vineyards in Awatere Valley. The winemaking team led by Jeff Fyfe specialises in the production of aromatic and delightful wines. The group shares the common passion for sustainable winemaking practices, representing the unique regional characteristics of each wine.
The luscious grapes used to create this dazzling Pinot Noir were harvested and then cold macerated for five days. The juice obtained was then hotly fermented, followed by regular plunging. The resulting wine displays a dark ruby colour with a vibrant red haze. The perfumed nose exhibits lifted aromas of cassis and red cherry coupled with spice and mocha undertones. This beautiful Silver Fern Pinot Noir is supple and juicy on the palate, filled with intense red berry flavours and earthy savoury nuances. Fine tannins integrate with these great characters culminating in a captivating finish, marked by a subtle toasty note. It can be relished on its own as an aperitif or enjoyed with lamb, duck and veal preparations.
