WHY DO WE LIKE THIS WINE
Produced in limited quantity (only 1676 bottles), this Pinot Noir was whole-berry fermented and matured in French oak barrels for 18 months. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered resulting in a brick red colour. The nose emanates sweet red fruits, anise, graphite and forest understory aromas. These are followed by a powerful palate revealing intense flavours of red fruits, morello cherries, blood plums and charcuterie along with Chinese five-spice and mineral nuances. Chalky, mouth-coating tannins pave the way for a lingering finish. Suggested food pairings include meat stew, fennel-garlic pork roast, or lamb dishes.
