Australian wine has become synonymous with great Shiraz and over the last decade our styles of Shiraz have begun to vary and become distinctly regional. This has allowed for the development of Shiraz with greater finesse and graceful tannins from the cool climate regions. The Yarra Valley is heralding this more elegant style of Shiraz and Soumah’s well drained site coupled with suitably chosen clones has created a subtle yet powerful wine. The bouquet displays blueberry, black fruits and some spicy oak notes. The palate is richly concentrated delivering impressive fruit depth of spice, truffle and black olive. The wines notable length and structure is secured by velvet grained tannins.
