Based in the northern Margaret River region, Swings & Roundabouts Wines produces a distinct range of fresh and elegant wines. The winemaking team led by Chief Winemaker Brian Fletcher makes use of the skills and creativity of accomplished winemakers for creating a wide range of fresh and full-flavoured wines. The company’s cellar door is surrounded by their in-house vineyards, located on Caves Road in Yallingup.
The fruit used to craft Swings & Roundabouts Chardonnay was harvested in the cool of night and cold pressed. The juice was then fermented and treated with oak. Post-maturation for eight months, the wine flaunts a pale green colour with a luminous haze. The aromatic nose presents pleasing scents of juicy fruits, cashew and vanillin oak. The palate is intense and medium bodied, full of melon flavours supported by excellent oak notes and fresh acidity. This delicious Chardonnay ends in a persistent and structured finish, marked by citrusy characters. With the potential to be cellared for 3 to 4 years, this beautiful white wine can also be relished upon release. It complements foods like barramundi with mango salsa, slow-cooked Busselton free-range egg and creamy truffled bouillon.
