Founder Robert Oatley had diverse interests before he decided to go into winemaking. One of those interests was in competitive sailing. He was successful in this field and was given the nickname “ Wild Oats” to celebrate his passion and excitement. This name was carried to be the label for his range of approachable and easy-to-drink wines that can be considered as modern classics.
