I t has taken Australians a seemingly long time to discover the delights of rosé however today it is one of the fastest growing wine styles. Most experts argue that soft, dr y and smooth is the ideal version (there’s a myriad of them available) and we’ve endeavoured to deliver just that.
This rosé is light and dry, and dangerously easy to drink. Sangiovese grapes, f rom Oatley family vineyards at Mudgee, a re generously flavoured, producing a wine that is soft and dry, with juic y red fruit characters. This delicious wine cries out for an antipasto platter or a bucket of prawns.
Produced specifically as a rosé wine by pressing the red sangiovese grapes as i f to make a white wine, minimising the phenolics and retaining the bright clean fruit flavours. It has been deliberately made at the drier end of the rosé spectrum.
