A family owned and operated winery, Windowrie was founded in the year 1959 by wine enthusiasts David and Wizz O’Dea. The estate vineyard was planted in 1987, and is located about 26 kilometres from Cowra. Over the decades, the brand has become synonymous with wines that are both organic and delicious. The Natural Wine Co is a wine label started by Rebecca and Jason O’Dea.
The premium grapes used to craft The Natural Wine Co Shiraz were crushed, destemmed, moved to stainless steel open fermenters, and inoculated. The resulting red wine displays a ripe plum colour, and offers attractive aromas of juicy raspberries, cherries, black pepper and tobacco from its luxurious bouquet. These fragrances replicate on the medium bodied palate, where they are balanced by vanilla spiced oak nuances and silky tannins. The finish is lingering and invites you to take another sip. Crafted to be enjoyed upon release, this wine can also be cellared for a short term. Drink it with red sauce pasta, sharp Cheddar cheese or black forest cake.
