Bluemark Wines

The Shiraz grapes were grown in the North-Western Barossa by traditional family growers. Vineyard soil is typically red-brown earth over red clay.

The grapes were harvested in several lots from late February to early April. They were destemmed into open-top fermenters where twice-daily hand pumpovers gently extracted colour and flavour from the grapes. After 7-12 days on skins, the fermented grapes were pressed with a traditional press. Wine was then filled to barrel for maturation in seasoned American oak hogsheads for eighteen months before blending and bottling.
