The Paringa wine estate is owned by the Hickinbotham family, a family that has been involved in Australia’s winemaking business for more than 8 decades. In the year 1936, Alan Robb Hickinbotham was one of the founders of the reputed Winemaking (Oenology) course at the Roseworthy Agricultural College in South Australia. He was fondly proclaimed ‘The Father of Australian Professional Winemaking Education’ owing to his dedication and expertise in teaching the young and passionate youths who wished to become subsequent wine leaders in the industry. The Hickinbotham family has been in the grape - growing business since the year 1971. In 1999, they established the Paringa label. Paringa has become a reputed and popular wine brand, known for producing exceptional - quality wines full of fruitiness and zest.
