Wolf Blass Eaglehawk Shiraz South Australia - 6 Bottles
Availability: In stock

A warm spring and medium-term oak maturation in French as well as American oak led to the creation of this sophisticated and full-flavoured Shiraz. This dark red hued varietal exudes fragrances of blackcurrants, dark cherries and subtle oak notes from its fruit-driven nose. The palate is medium-weighted and intense, full of red berries, vanillin oak and smooth tannins that lead to a delicate and generous finale. Made for consumption fresh upon release, Eaglehawk Shiraz matches well with foods like slow-cooked veal shanks, Mongolian lamb and spicy Asian cuisine.
Wolfgang Franz Otto Blass, founder of Wolf Blass Wines, studied Champagne techniques in France and later became the youngest person ever to graduate with a Master’s degree in Oenology. Establishing the wine estate in the 1970s with the help of winemaker John Glaetzer in the Nuriootpa region of South Australia, Wolf began the production of iconic and innovative wines for sale locally as well as abroad.
