WHY DO WE LIKE THIS WINE

Made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes through secondary fermentation in stainless steel, this wine is a testament to blending expertise. With pale straw, subtle green hues and a fine bead, this non-vintage wine is blended from several vintages to ensure consistency in both character and flavour. The lifted citrus aromas with underlying notes of strawberry come from Chardonnay along with a soft creaminess to the palate. However, Pinot Noir adds to its fine length and crisp acidity. Relish it best with stir-fried prawns with snow peas, or goat cheese, prosciutto and grilled peach salad.

Wolfgang Franz Otto Blass’s interest in the winemaking business made him the youngest person ever to graduate with a Masters in Oenology. He further moved to England to study the art of blending before moving to the Barossa Valley in 1961. This passion led to the establishment of Wolf  Blass Wines in 1966 and is visible ever since then in its custodians as they continue to make wines of quality, character and consistency. From humble beginnings to exporting wines in more than 50 countries, Wolf Blass has gained international recognition as an icon in modern winemaking.
