The Old Vine Grenache is a complex, perfumed and elegant wine with a trademark tannin structure.A favourable growing season, with good winter rains, a mild flowering and fruit set period and continued spring rainfall. Vines showed good balance of shoot vigour and moderate berry size. The ripening period that began late January was very cool, with some welcome rainfall in mid-February. The cold nights and mild sunny days in March slowed sugar accumulation, resulting in excellent fruit ripeness and intensity.

WINERY INFORMATION

Yangarra Estate proudly embraces the fact that it is one of the few biodynamic wine farms in Australia. Situated in South Australia’s revered McLaren Vale region, Yangarra Estate follows the philosophy of crafting wines using fruit harvested solely from their single vineyard estate. The property receives ample amounts of sunlight and rain, and its altitude as well as other geological factors make it a region perfect for grape growing.
