Pretty Good

The grapes used to craft Yangarra Estate Vineyard Roussanne were handpicked and basket pressed, and the juice was transferred to barrels post wild fermentation. The base wine was then matured with lees and stirred every month, resulting in the creation of a pale straw coloured wine with golden highlights. The attractive bouquet exudes oriental and smoky aromas, making way for a plush and textural palate filled with savoury flavours. These vibrant characters are supported by fine tannins and firm acidity, culminating in a smooth, poised and lengthy finish. This delightful Roussanne will benefit from long term cellaring, tasting marvellous with roast chicken, creamy soups, and slow cooked roasted vegetables.

WINERY INFORMATION

Yangarra Estate Vineyard is a biodynamic wine farm producing wines that are unique to the terroir, and lush as well as balanced in flavours. Jess Jackson and his wife Barbara Banke bought the estate in 2001, after searching for vineyards having potential to grow world class Grenache and Shiraz grapes. The estate’s vineyards were first planted in 1946, and have now grown to incorporate close to 100 hectares.
