McGuigan Wines: A Great Winemaking Legacy
July 11, 2016
Australia is home to some fabulous wine regions and winemaking houses. Many of them go way back to even 1800’s and yet have maintained their position and standards till date. One such winemaking estate is the McGuigan Wines. It hails from the famous Hunter Valley wine region in Australia. This family owned wine business started more than a hundred and fifty years back. The beginnings were humble with Owen McGuigan choosing to plant vines on a small vineyard to earn some extra money along with his ongoing dairy business. By and by, Owen began taking more interest and discovered his flair for crafting wonderful wines. He put in tremendous hard work and passion into winemaking, resulting in the production of great tasting wines in large quantities.
Owen’s son, Peter had the exact passion for winemaking as his father did. He joined Owen’s business and worked his way up to climb the ladder of marvellous Australian winemaking. Under his leadership, McGuigan Wines became one of the leading wineries in Hunter Valley. He achieved great heights and became a Living Legend award winner.
Peter’ son, Brian joined the business after his father and further nurtured it. Today, McGuigan is one of the leading wineries in Australia. The company is known for producing remarkable wines, year after year. They can proudly boast of being one of the most awarded wineries in the world today. In fact, it is the only winemaking business in the world that has won the title of ‘world’s best winemaker’ thrice. All these recognitions and accolades are enough to prove the excellent quality that McGuigan Wines provides.
McGuigan offers wines in different ranges, each having their own special characteristics. What’s more interesting is that you can buy McGuigan wines online at great prices and have them delivered right at your doorstep. Some of the interesting red wines and white wines to pick from their vast array are McGuigan Black Label Moscato, McGuigan Bin 7000 Chardonnay, McGuigan Private Bin Shiraz, McGuigan Cellar Select Gewürztraminer, McGuigan Founders Series Cabernet Shiraz, McGuigan Shortlist Cabernet Sauvignon and McGuigan Founders Series Pinot Gris.
