The history of Jacob’s Creek goes back to the year 1847, when Johann Gramp planted his first grapevines along the banks of the small creek flowing through Barossa Valley. Today, the brand’s wine regions also include Adelaide Hills and Coonawarra. TASTING NOTES:

Jacob’s Creek Cabernet Merlot is a medium-bodied, dry red wine known for its lovely blackberry flavours and intense spicy aromas. Poured into an elegant glass, it exudes a medium crimson colour with purple hues. Drawn for awhiff, the spicy bouquet offers the varietal leafiness of Cabernet Sauvignon coupled with undertones of cassis. The plump blackberry characters reflect on the attractive palate, complemented by sweet and subtle vanilla nuances as well as spicy hints of vanillin oak. The soft and approachable drink contains ripe and dense tannins, altogether culminating in an enjoyable finale. This wine has been made to be enjoyed young and fresh. Savour it with pasta dishes, Mediterranean vegetables, or roasted meats.
