Tim Gramp Clare Valley Watervale Tempranillo Rose 2023 - 12 Bottles

This unique Spanish-style Tempranillo Rosé, rated 87 points and awarded a bronze by James Halliday's 2024 Wine Companion, showcases the distinctive terroir of Watervale. Produced from fruit sourced from a single-site vineyard with a red loam over limestone soil profile (terra rossa) and a yield of 1.6 tonnes/acre, this wine showcases meticulous viticulture and winemaking techniques. The mild weather from January to April facilitated even ripening, preserving the wine’s flavour and natural acidity. The grapes underwent minimal skin contact before being transferred to a static fermenter for cold settling, followed by fermentation over two weeks to achieve a dry finish. After cold stabilisation and filtration, the wine was bottled in mid-May.

The wine displays a seductive bright salmon pink color, with delicate aromas of rose petals and violets. The palate is refined and elegant, leading to a refreshingly dry finish that features delightful berries and savoury flavours. This rosé is perfect as an aperitif or paired with a variety of dishes including seafood, Asian cuisine, and Mediterranean-inspired meals.
