In 1849, the journey of Baron Hermann Von Rieben took him from Mecklenburg to the shores of South Australia. By 1855, the famed Von Riebens Hotel stood tall on the estate, becoming a beacon for travellers. Visitors revelled in unexpected luxuries set against the backdrop of a breathtaking lagoon, brimming with aquatic and avian wonders. This land, rich in history, now hosts our flourishing vineyards, the very source of our estate's aromatic wine creation.
