Zilzie Signature Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 Murray Darling - 12 Bottles

WINERY INFORMATION:

Located in Victoria's South Yarra Valley, Zilzie Wines is owned and operated by the Forbes family. After growing grapes for nearly three decades for some of Australia's best-known wineries, the Zilzie winery came into existence in 1999. The brand launched its first vintage in 2000. The distinctive and increasingly popular Selection 23 range was introduced in 2004.

TASTING NOTES:

A medium red coloured wine with purple hues emanating dark berry fruit with sweet toasty oak. The palate showcases blackberry, cassis and spices with velvety tannins and toasty vanillin oak. The premium parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon fruit are fermented in rotary and static fermenters. It further takes place on skins for 7-10 days. These wines are then gently pressed and matured in French oak before blending and bottling. A proportion of Merlot is included to add flesh and depth. The resulting wine showcases an excellent depth of colour. Enjoy it best with a fillet of venison, vegetarian enchiladas or a selection of cheeses.
