Star Gazer Wine Cocktail

Your favourite Chardonnay wine is flavoured with sweet and tangy pineapple juice. A splash of golden rum adds a whole different dimension of flavour. Sweetened and scented with vanilla syrup, the result is a cocktail guaranteed to impress your guests. Serve garnished with a wedge of lime for a truly professional touch!

  • 4 tbsp Chardonnay
  • 1-2 tbsp gold rum
  • 1 tbsp pineapple juice
  • 1 tbsp vanilla syrup
  • 1 no. neatly cut lime wedge (for garnish)
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in all the liquid ingredients and shake. Strain into a glass and garnish with a wedge of lime. Serve immediately.

As the name suggests, vanilla syrup is sugar syrup that has been generously flavoured with vanilla extract. While it is available in bottles, you can easily make your own by cooking equal parts sugar & water until very slightly thickened, and then adding a sufficient amount of pure vanilla extract. Allow to cool to room temperature, refrigerate and use as required.
