Angas King is the premium Shiraz-Cabernet range from Greenock Estate, located in the heart of Barossa Valley. Named in tribute to George Fife Angas, a founding pioneer of South Australia, this line showcases classic Barossa fruit blended with Cabernet structure. It explores regional terroir through fruit sourced from key regions including Barossa Valley and neighbouring Eden Valley.

Vineyards and Vintage Conditions

The 2020 Shiraz Cabernet is sourced primarily from mature Barossa vineyards on alluvial clay‑loam soils, blended with cooler‑site fruit from Eden Valley for freshness. The vintage delivered warm, ripening conditions that produced rich fruit concentration balanced by cool night acidity.

Winemaking

Fermentation took place in small harvest lots with careful extraction of colour and tannin. The wine spent time in oak to develop structure and spice notes while preserving the plush fruit expression. The style is bold yet balanced, with ripe Shiraz fruit supported by Cabernet backbone.

• Appearance: Deep dark ruby with purple edges

• Aroma: Rich red and black fruits alongside mocha, dark chocolate and a hint of pepper spice

• Palate: Full bodied and lush with blackcurrant and blackberry flavours, framed by soft tannins and subtle oak spice
