WINERY INFORMATION
A highly-rated producer, Angove Family Winemakers has been a part of the industry for over 130 years now. It’s establishment dates back to the year 1886 when Founder Dr William Thomas Angove started producing wine as a tonic for his patients. Eventually, he shifted to commercial winemaking with the expansion of vineyards. The company is currently operated by the fourth and fifth generation members who take forward the family tradition of crafting exceptional wines.
TASTING NOTES
Upon being poured into a glass, this organic Merlot reveals a striking dark ruby colour. The bouquet emanates aromas of raspberries and plums. These wonderful fragrances are followed by an intriguing palate revealing dark red fruits. Subtle oak notes provide the wine a depth, paving the way for a lengthy and soul-satisfying finish. Suggested food pairings include meat stew, roast beef and lamb preparations.
