Barefoot Wines takes its name from the free-spirited method of crushing grapes barefoot. The brand's journey was initiated by winemaker Davis Bynum in 1965, by creating Barefoot Bynum Burgundy in his garage. The winery got recognised in 1986 when entrepreneurs Michael Houlihan and Bonnie Harvey renamed the brand as Barefoot Cellars and created the footprint label which has helped them receive international recognition.
