Since the introduction of its first vintage in 1998, Barringwood’s award-winning, single-vineyard wines have been considered among Tasmania’s best wines. Barringwood’s Barrington vineyard is located on a steep, north-facing slope overlooking the lush Don Valley. Accompanied by mild growing seasons and an elevation of 276m, the Barringwood winery is known for producing some of the most popular cool climate wines in Australia.

TASTING NOTES:

Made exclusively with free run juice, Barringwood Chardonnay was naturally fermented in French oak barrels for 8 months. These lees stirred wine was then subjected to partial malolactic fermentation for enhancing its textural complexity. The resultant wine shows a pale yellow colour. The bouquet exudes aromas of grapefruit and pineapple. The palate displays texture, complexity and length, and is filled with citrus and mineral characters. It pairs well with roast chicken, crayfish and smoked salmon.
