WINERY INFORMATION
World renowned winery d'Arenberg is based in McLaren Vale, South Australia. A family owned winery, it was established in the year 1912, when wine enthusiast Joseph Osborn sold his horse stable to purchase the property that now houses the estate winery, cellar door and restaurant. Today, d'Arenberg is one of the most significant wine companies of the McLaren Vale region.
TASTING NOTES
The Derelict Vineyard Grenache features a purple red colour with deep crimson tinges. This delicious Grenache offers mesmerising aromas and juicy flavours of sweet fruits, blueberries, raspberry jubes and stewed rhubarb. Subtle hints of spice as well as mild earthiness enhance the perfumed nose. Fine and gritty tannins integrate with the generous palate to end the wine in a savoury and lengthy finale showing enhanced minerality. This wonderful red wine tastes amazing with beef stew, gremolata polenta, beetroot chips and crushed sweet potato.
