WINERY INFORMATION

Multi awarded winery d’Arenberg is known for producing award winning, premium Australian wines. It was founded by the Director of Thomas Hardy and Sons, Joseph Osborn, in 1912. Third generation winemaker d’Arry assumed full control of the company after his father, Frank’s death in the year 1957. The following year, he joined the Wine and Brandy Producers Association of South Australia.

TASTING NOTES

The Sticks & Stones Tempranillo Blend is a fusion of 60% Tempranillo grapes with 30% Grenache, 5% Souzao and 5% Tinta Cao grapes. This medium ruby hued blend features a shimmering garnet rim. This tempting blend exhibits a wide array of mesmerising aromas and flavours. A sip of the wine reveals complex flavours of baked red fruits, tomato leaf, plum, blueberry, clove, crushed flowers and roasted meats. The crunchy palate also contains walnut, cedar and fresh leather notes. These generous characters fuse with fine and gritty tannins from the Grenache grapes, to culminate the wine in a well balanced and structured finish. This enticing red blend is a great food accompaniment to smoked meats, savoury mushroom platters, and Mexican cuisine.
