This Chardonnay hails from a winery with a rich history dating back to 1893, once a favourite of The Orient Express and top French restaurants. After some time away, Laurent Delaunay, the great-grandson of the founder, reclaimed the winery and revitalised its connections with the region’s finest grape growers.
The wine opens with bright citrus aromas, enhanced by delicate notes of white chocolate and toasted hazelnuts. On the palate, it’s rich and buttery, with a perfect balance between the opulence of barrel ageing and a refreshing crispness. Subtle oak nuances add a creamy depth, while the finish lingers with a hint of lemon zest and minerality. This Chardonnay is perfect for pairing with indulgent dishes like lobster or creamy poultry, offering a luxurious yet approachable experience.
