TASTING NOTES:
This wine from Grant Burge, the pioneers of Merlot in Barossa Valley is an affordable number with some real varietal character. It has a lovely deep ruby colour with bouquet of ripe plums, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and sweet spices along with hints of dark chocolate. The palate of this wine is soft and supple including flavours of dark blueberries and blackberries, sweet raspberries, sweet mocha and rich charry oak. The structure is excellent with soft tannins and a lengthy finish. This medium bodied wine is ready for immediate enjoyment and can also be cellared for up to 8 years. Pair it with a rack of lamb, grilled meat, pastas or grilled vegetables.
