WINERY INFORMATION:

The fruit for the Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from premium 13-38 year old vineyards in McLaren Vale. Vines are grown in various soil types, but mostly in free draining red sandy loams over limestone or clay. Fruit was gently pressed through 90 year old basket press and matured in oak barriques for 12 months prior to bottling; each individual vineyard parcel was kept separate prior to blending and bottling. The final blend represents the McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon style - rich and bold with wonderful intensity of fruit, balance and fine tannins.

TASTING NOTES:

The Tintara Cabernet Sauvignon displays typical McLaren Vale characteristics of rich and ripe dark berries with dark chocolate and black olives. This wine is bursting with vibrant and complex sweet fruit flavours of blackberries and currants, has a soft texture and is supported well by subtle French oak, soft acid and super fine tannins.
