TASTING NOTES

This ‘Old Vine’ Grenache is to honour the traditional Barossan table winemaking techniques. Grape was sourced from 73-year-old vineyard located in Krondorf. The winemaking process involved minimal interference. The wine underwent ageing for 12 months in large, old barrels. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, it flaunts a clear and deep crimson-red colour. Fragrances of fresh red cherry and fruit spice along with aniseeds, forest floor and cured meat are revealed. It has a medium-bodied palate showcasing flavours of sweet, textured red fruits. Complemented by fine tannins, it eventually culminates in a lingering finish. This varietal wine can be paired with slow roasted pork or lamb stew.
