Product Description
WINERY INFORMATION:
Located on Keyneton Road in Keyneton, SA, Henschke Cellar Door offers an ultra premium range of handcrafted wines from the revered Eden Valley, Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills wine region. It was built by Johann Christian Henschke in the 1860s. He established the family wine estate in 1862 on a piece of land acquired in the North Rhine district of the Barossa Range.
TASTING NOTES:
Henschke Keyneton Euphonium is a fusion of 2% Cabernet Franc, 17% Merlot and 36% Cabernet Sauvignon with 45% Shiraz grapes. This led to the creation of a deep crimson hued wine exuding lovely aromas of mulberries, blackberries and plums from its attractive bouquet. Herbaceous notes of sage and crushed bay leaf combine with underlying hints of cedar, clove and black pepper to enhance the perfumed nose. The lush and juicy palate packs flavours of mulberry, blackberry and plum accompanied by spicy undertones of black pepper and mocha. Fine and smooth tannins fuse with these vibrant characters to provide a lengthy and textured finish. This enticing Shiraz blend has the potential to be cellared for 25 or more years, tasting great with Panang curry of grilled beef.
