WINERY INFORMATION:

Established in 1968, McPherson Wines is a family owned state-of-the-art winery in Central Victoria. Chief Winemaker Jo Nash focuses on using traditional winemaking practices for the production of finest quality, fruit driven wines. After completing her graduation from Charles Sturt University, Jo started her winemaking career under the guidance of reputed winemaker Andrew McPherson.

TASTING NOTES:

Post maturation in French oak for eight months, McPherson Family Shiraz shows a dark purple hue followed by a vibrant rim. A swirl of the glass reveals pleasing scents of plums, ripe blackberries, and spice. These scintillating aromas integrate with the rich and medium bodied palate culminating in a lengthy finish. This full-flavored Shiraz can be cellared for a decade to enhance its rich fruit flavors. This beautiful red wine drinks best with char-grilled steak, spaghetti bolognaise, and robust cheese.
