Jock and Andrew McPherson established McPherson Wines in the year 1968. The brand has enjoyed great success in the national and international markets, positioning itself as one of Australia’s top 20 wineries. Approachable and easy-drinking wines are produced at their state-of-the-art Central Victorian winery under various unique labels. The MWC label is inspired by European-style wines, showcasing complex, rustic and interesting characters.
TASTING NOTES
This Rhône-inspired red is a blend of 95% Shiraz and 5% Mourvedre grape varieties. Upon being poured into a glass, it flaunts a crimson hue. A nose of blackberry and spice aromas paves the way for a full and bold palate. Spicy flavours of cool-climate Shiraz entwine with full-bodied Shiraz (Sourced from mild-climate region) and savoury tannins of Mourvedre. These characteristics are complemented by French oak hints eventually culminating in a seamless finish.Perfect for a dinner party,relish this elegant wine with chargrilled steak or mushroom risotto.
