WINERY INFORMATION:

Mountadam Vineyards is a family owned and operated wine estate producing iconic and elegantly styled wines. The estate was originally founded by David Wynn in 1972, and purchased by David and Jenni Brown in 2006. It is located in the High Eden sub region of Eden Valley in Barossa.

TASTING NOTES:

The fruit used to craft Mountadam Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested, fermented, racked, and matured in French oak barriques. The resulting wine displays a deep red colour with light crimson hues. The attractive bouquet exudes herbal scents of blackcurrant leaf, bay leaf, black olive and dried sage. The juicy and dense palate packs flavours of plum and blackcurrant coupled with spicy undertones. Fine and supple tannins fuse with these splendid characters to culminate in a long and satisfying finish. Made for consumption upon release, this wonderful red wine can also be cellared for about a decade to allow it to enhance its grand fruit flavours. Drink it with grilled veggies, chimichurri and chickpea burritos.
