Langi is strategically located 350 meters above sea level and between Mount Langi Ghiran and Mount Cole in Victoria. It is perfect for growing cool-climate grapes with distinct varietal characters. The shadows cast by the mountains during the autumn season enable exposure to sunshine, which encourages an extended ripening period. Langi sits on a unique soil profile where granite sands have mingled with red clay sediments.

TASTING NOTES

The Mt. Langi Ghiran ‘Billi Billi’ Pinot Gris was produced from 21-year-old grapevines nurtured by granitic sand over red clay. It appears as a translucent bright gold liquid when swirled in the glass. The nose is greeted with luscious lychee, pear and white rose fragrances, while the palate is dominated by ripe lychee and pear flavours. Its smooth texture is balanced by a fine acid structure. While this wine may be enjoyed on its own, it matches well with dishes such as light seafood or chicken breasts.
