Located in the dramatic setting of the Great Dividing Range in the Grampians region of Victoria, Mount Langi Ghiran is a producer of one of Australia's finest cool-climate wines, the Langi Shiraz. Langi was first planted with Shiraz in 1870, inspired by the potential of the vineyard and keen to develop it further, Trevor and Sandra Mast purchased the property from its initial owners in 1987. In late 2002 the property was sold to the Rathbone family. With an impressive portfolio and a passionate team, the winemakers at Mount Langi Ghiran continue to meticulously develop and hone their methods, whilst producing wines that embody the essence of Mount Langi Ghiran

TASTING NOTES:

The Cliff Edge Cabernet Merlot showcases distinct Grampians regional character with classic varietal charm reflective of Langi’s cool climate. When poured in a glass, the wine flaunts deep crimson colour with purple hues. The engaging nose with fragrant florals emanates aromas of blackberry fruits and cassis with spice undertones. Similarly, blackberry and cassis flavours replicate on the palate along with blackcurrant, juicy plum fruits and black cherry notes. This classic Bordeaux blend displays perfumed florals, cedar and spiced dark chocolate. Fine, silky tannins with a backbone of acidity create a powerful wine full of body and finesse.
