Nepenthe’s winemaking team specialises in the production of an extensive range of award winning, flavoursome wines. Skilled winemaker James Evers started his winemaking career as a Lab Manager at Jamiesons Run Winery in Coonawarra. James also worked for reputed wineries like Glendonbrook Wines, Rothbury Winery and McGuigan Wines, before joining Nepenthe.

TASTING NOTES

Nepenthe Altitude Tempranillo is a bright red coloured wine flaunting purple highlights along the edges. Vibrant fruit aromas of blueberry and raspberry fuse with savoury undertones of leather and dried herbs to offer a fragrant nose. The juicy palate is full of raspberry and blueberry flavours, coupled with spice and earthy notes. These beautiful aromas and flavours culminate the wine in a long and complex finish. With a cellaring potential of 5 to 8 years from vintage, this enticing Tempranillo tastes marvellous with barbecued meat, Spanish tapas and pizza.
