Penny’s Hill produces award winning estate wines that guarantee elegance, balance and luscious flavours. Proprietors Tony and Susie Parkinson bought a 32 hectare piece of land located on the foothills of McLaren Vale in 1988, and named it Penny’s Hill Vineyard. The property was first planted with vines in 1991. Footprint is a full bodied and well balanced McLaren Vale Shiraz crafted using the ‘footprinting’ process.

TASTING NOTES

Penny's Hill Footprint Shiraz features a vibrant inky colour. It exudes lush aromas of dark plum, blackberry, black olive and cedar from its scintillating nose, followed by intense earthy and savoury notes. These fragrances are replicated on the firm and rich palate, which integrates with a fine layer of oak and mineral tones. The finale is long and balanced. This full bodied Shiraz can be cellared for about a decade to allow its grand flavours to develop gracefully. Suggested food pairings include strong cheeses, and grilled as well as roast meats.
