WINERY INFORMATION

Established in 1892, Pirramimma is a family owned winery managed by skilled winemaker Geoff Johnston. The company expanded from 97ha to 250 ha of land holdings under Geoff’s guidance. It presently covers a total of 180 hectares of land planted with grapes. The winery was founded by Alexander C. Johnston and is located on Johnston Road in McLaren Vale, South Australia. 

TASTING NOTES

Post-maturation in American oak, Pirramimma Stock's Hill Cabernet Sauvignon shows a dark brick red colour. A swirl of the glass offers scintillating aromas of red cherry, mulberry, chocolate, spicy blackberry and toasty oak. Light hints of tomato and mint enhance the fragrant nose. This delightful Cab Sauv is delicious and firm on the palate, containing flavours of fruit and oak. Balanced and supported by structured tannins, these great characters harmoniously culminate in a captivating finish. Crafted to be relished upon release, this beautiful red wine tastes great with garlic chicken wings, chimichurri, and aged Cheddar cheese.
