Tahbilk is a family owned and operated wine company producing an outstanding range of complex and full flavoured wines. It was originally founded in 1860. The Purbrick family acquired the ownership of the company in 1925. The company owns nearly 200 hectares of vineyards, mostly planted with Rhone grape varieties.
TASTING NOTES
This enticing One Million Cuttings Merlot from Tahbilk shows a dark ruby red colour with a purple haze lurking throughout. A swirl of the glass offers scintillating aromas of blueberry, dark chocolate and spice. The palate is soft and supple with luscious flavours of ripe plums and blackberries, balanced by fine tannins. These beautiful flavours and fragrances fuse together to end the wine in a captivating finish. This tempting red wine tastes delicious with grilled lamb chops served with herbs like oregano, thyme and rosemary.
