WINERY INFORMATION:

Taltarni Wines, located in the picturesque Pyrenees wine region of Victoria, is owned by John Goelet. Being a descendant of wine merchant family in Bordeaux, he worked hard to find a land similar to the Bordeaux-style vineyards. He employs environment-friendly methods in the winery to ensure the premium quality of these beauties.

TASTING NOTES:

This red is a blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Shiraz grapes that were sourced from the oldest Cabernet block. It underwent malolactic fermentation and was aged in a combination of new and old French oak barrels for 13 months. Poured into a glass, it flaunts a vibrant red colour with tones of regal purple. The bouquet emanates primary fragrances of earth and dust that are followed by blackcurrant and tomato leaf notes. The drink’s perfectly-balanced palate reveals flavours of cigar box and rich blueberry along with round, velvety tannins. These characteristics seamlessly make way for a lingering finish marked by dark chocolate. Savour it with roasted duck breast, barbecued lamb ribs or beef tenderloin.
